This article, appeared on the Giornale di Sicilia of June 28 th 2002, represents the first action of a virtual trip that wants to approach all the Italian Faculties of Agriculture (and in the future European) to the requirements of an ignored and unknown world, that where everything is outskirts, even the simplest notions of the science and the technique. A world that is more and more next to us and that in myopic way we are also building inside our house. Because the desertification (also that cultural) it is'nt the fruit of an old planet (as someone wants to make to understand) but the result of a so blind economic interest to be destroyed the same actors.
