The Principle of the Project Between Science and Conscience

Born with Galileo and developed over the last five hundred years, Science finds itself today before another frontier of human knowledge. This great ally of man on his path towards his understanding of the World, has reached, and perhaps finished, the first step in his approach towards that marvellous goal, the book of Knowledge and Truth. Cultural, ideological and rationalistic limits set modern man before the need to overcome old prejudices and limited visions of the World. We have built an articulated and methodical scientific system: remarkable, useful for launching humanity into the space of knowledge. This first stage has exhausted its fuel. It has given the push to overcome the limits of the imagination and of human perplexity before the great or small tangible phenomena of the World. Now a greater vision and resolution of the issues of a world, beyond the three dimensions of space, require a model of understanding on more levels. A vision which goes beyond the limits requires a science and a man that goes beyond the limits. The culture of limits must be replaced by the culture of the unlimited. A science inside the limits of what is visible will have to become symmetrical to an understanding that goes beyond every barrier. From the world of frontiers to the universe without confinements. On this path, inside the rules that make man really free, we are ready to launch the second stage toward the new frontiers of knowledge, indeed, towards that frontier that will no longer have limits because it will have to develop within Human Conscience.

Issue
Project	Science and Conscience is the model through which the Students in Agriculture or Professionals (above all Doctors of Agronomy and Doctors of Forestry) create an imaginary bridge between the Research Institutes and the territories on which we are present. The Volunteers strive in fact to transfer both technical and scientific knowledge to these places and the social and environmental characteristics of these places. Through this system we create a gradual but efficient model of fusion and compatibility for the scientific and socio-environmental aspects. In short, it is an applied model of Sustainable Development through voluntary work.
Aim	The aim is to renew the role of Science and Technology in light of the processes of Globalization and Sustainable Development, but also that of transferring, especially to the most critical places, the developments of knowledge for a better condition of Life and of the environment. The propitious occasion is given by the recent university reform and by the system of formative credits (CFU).
Slogan	A formative credit for every debt owed by this society towards every man and territory which is in need.
